Kai in the Holidays - December Food Drive Part III

This year has hit many in our region a little harder than usual.

We need your help.

Many organisations and groups who usually support people needing food support are taking a well-deserved break for Christmas and New Year. Community volunteers are stepping in to provide food support for those who need it during this time.

From the week before Christmas to January 5th, we are collecting essential food items to share (non-perishables like canned proteins, rice, pasta, and peanut butter, which are shelf-stable and provide essential nutrition).

Your donation is immediate and vital. 100% of the food collected goes directly to families who need it most during this period. Any surplus will top up the essential supplies at the Nelson Community Foodbank, extending your care well into the New Year.

How to donate:

  • You can drop off your Kai and donations at All Saints Anglican Church, 30A Vanguard Street, Nelson at the below times/dates.

    2-4pm, 19th December

    12-3pm, 22nd-24th December

    12-3pm, 29th-31st December.

Email KaiInTheHolidays@gmail.com or text 027 457 6513 and we will be in touch to arrange kai/food drop off/collection.
