About Te Tauihu Community Development Agency
Established in mid-2024, TTCDA is driving a fresh approach to strengthening the for-purpose sector across Te Tauihu (the Top of the South). We're not here to do more of the same—we're here to do things differently.
Our mission is to spark innovation, collaboration, and collective impact by working alongside community organisations, iwi, business, funders, and local and central government. We build the systems, connections, and capabilities needed for the community sector to thrive, championing community-led solutions that create sustainable change across the entire for-purpose ecosystem.
The Agency is community-led and governed by a kawenata (relational covenant) in partnership with Ngā Iwi o Te Tauihu, the eight iwi of our region. We respond to sector needs and build capability, capacity, collaboration, and strategic voice through our four strategic pillars: Go Wide, Go Deep, Go Collective, and Go Digital.
What we're looking for
We want diverse perspectives to inform TTCDA Board decision-making, with a highly skilled team that reflects a mix of life stage, gender, and sector experience. We're seeking new trustees with deep understanding in one or more of these areas:
Financial governance including risk management
Business sector experience and influence, commercial acumen
Digital technologies and platforms, including AI
Generating multiple income streams
Fundraising, including partnerships with businesses and individual philanthropists
Communications and media
Knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga and Mātauranga Māori
Connections with and understanding of diverse geographical communities across Te Tauihu
How to apply
We'd love to hear why this governance opportunity sparks your interest and what you'll bring to our Board. Please complete our application form and send your CV (and a short cover letter if you wish) to admin@tetauihucommunity.org.
